Rather than functioning as a fixed string ensemble with a soloist placed in front, eNsemble adapts its formation to the music itself. The cello may take centre stage, dissolve into the ensemble, or enter into an intimate dialogue with a single instrument. This flexible approach allows each programme to shape its own sound world, creating a chamber-music experience built around listening, interaction, and the unique character of each work. With musicians Claudia Carvalho, Denis Dias, Kevin Morales, Linh Bui.

Indonesian cellist Ade Nicolas (Nico) is a soloist and chamber musician whose work centres on expanding the possibilities of the cello repertoire. Drawn to rarely performed and contemporary music, he is particularly interested in creating connections between familiar works and lesser-known voices. The 2026–27 season features several solo debuts, including appearances with the Rotterdams Studenten Orkest, Bosch Blazers Ensemble and Soli Driehuis Harmonie Orkest. He also returns as a soloist with Brabant Sinfonia and Symfonie Orkest Midden-Holland. Previous solo engagements include performances with Orkest van de Utrechtse 
Heuvelrug, Collegium Vocale Eindhoven, the STeP Ensemble and Jakarta Conservatory Chamber Orchestra.

As a chamber musician, Nico is part of the Rosin Octet, Zartonk Consort and Suara Dua. In 2026, Nico also joins Jong Metropole as Principal Cellist for the summer-winter season.

Alongside his performing career, Nico is committed to music education in Indonesia. Born in Jakarta in 2001, he began his musical studies as a pianist before taking up the cello at fourteen, and continued his studies in the Netherlands with Monique Heidema, Joachim Eijlander and Jan-Ype Nota.
